Carrington ESG was founded by Rob O'Brien, a Chartered Scientist with more than fifteen years' experience leading and advising on climate strategy, sustainability reporting, enterprise climate risk and carbon management, underpinned by an earlier scientific background in oceanography.

Having held senior climate leadership roles within one of the world's largest energy companies, Rob established Carrington ESG to provide the kind of independent strategic advice that organisations increasingly need as climate considerations become embedded within business strategy, governance and investment.

Today the practice supports multinational organisations, investors, professional services firms and international organisations on complex climate-related challenges.

Carrington ESG operates as a boutique advisory practice. Depending on client requirements, engagements can be delivered either directly or alongside a trusted network of experienced specialists and partner organisations, enabling access to multidisciplinary expertise while maintaining consistent senior leadership throughout.
